DANVERS COMMUNITY COUNCIL: ORGANIZED BY THE COMMUNITY, FOR THE COMMUNITY

The Danvers Community Council was established in the early 1950s to help better serve the community. The Council works to assist Danvers residents in need by regularly meeting with:

• Local agency representatives
• Town government leaders
• Local business people
This way, they can give back to the community without duplicating efforts. One of the many ways that the Council serves the town’s residents is through the Danvers People to People Food Pantry.
Families in need will register at the pantry and select their own food. Typical items on the shelves include cereal, pasta, produce, and cookies. The Council is always looking for donations, from non-perishable items to school supplies. Any way that you can give back is always greatly appreciated.

DANVERS COMMUNITY YMCA: PROMOTING A HEALTHY LIFESTYLE

The Danvers Community YMCA is all about delivering lasting personal and social change. They want everyone, be it at the individual, family, or community level, to “learn, grow, and thrive.”

Here, facilities and programs are used to promote good health for children and adults alike. Still, the YMCA does more than that. They also love to give back and provide support to members of the community.
