For specialized hybrid components of a hybrid BMW, they also offer a High-Voltage Lithium-Ion Battery Capacity Coverage for eight years or 100,000 miles, whichever comes first. For BMW vehicles from the 2017 model year and later, they also receive BMW Ultimate Care, a maintenance package for three years or 36,000 miles, whichever comes first.
Lexus offers a similar maintenance program: Lexus Luxury Care for up to five years or 90,000 miles. On top of that, they also offer the Lexus Hybrid Battery Warranty for up to 10 years or 150,000 miles for new Lexus models, which exceeds the comparable BMW warranty for hybrid batteries.
Certified pre-owned (CPO) cars are becoming increasingly popular among today’s drivers. Luckily, Lexus and BMW have caught on and developed stellar CPO programs for their models.
In terms of warranty coverage, the BMW CPO program provides comprehensive coverage for one year with unlimited miles after the BMW New Vehicle Limited Warranty runs out.

In 2021, BMW earned one dependability award from J.D. Power. This award is given to brands that have the fewest reported issues among their 3-year-old vehicles annually. For 2021, the BMW 2 Series earned this accolade.
